On October 3, 2025, GAiN PH launched a relief operation to support families affected by the recent 6.9-magnitude earthquake in Cebu. With the help of our local partner Cru Cebu, area coordinator Ptr. Fidel Batiancila led the repacking of relief goods in Cebu City before transporting them to the severely affected communities in the north.
A total of 150 family packs were prepared and are being distributed across three (3) areas:
- Barangay Mahawak, Medellin (50 family packs).
- Barangay Antipolo, Medellin (50 family packs)
- San Remegio, Cebu (50 family packs)
These areas suffered heavily as dozens of their residents died during the earthquake.
Despite heavy rains, power outages, and challenging road conditions, our partners are pressing forward to deliver food and clean water where it’s needed most.
The repacked goods are being transported to Northwest House of Hope Fellowship in San Remegio and Medellin Gospel Movement Church in North Cebu for distribution to the affected families.
