On the night of December 1, GAiN PH arrived in Tuguegarao, bringing relief supplies for typhoon victims.
From our hearts, we are thankful to all our cheerful givers/donors from Metro Manila who sent essential items such as clothing and footwear to aid the affected families in Cagayan Valley. We sincerely appreciate your kindness and generosity.
On the first day of operations, GAiN PH conducted a training session for 20 farmers on Natural Farming Systems and inspected potential model farms. Towards the end, we organized them to function like a farmers cooperative. Officers were selected and installed that day.
On the next day, December 3, a glimmer of hope shone on the faces of the people of Paggao, Cagayan as relief goods and essential items were distributed, providing much-needed support and comfort for their families.
On the last day, GAiN PH conducted a relief distribution for tribal groups in the mountains.
GAiN PH assisted a total of 187 families in Cagayan Valley.
Here is a list of the places and the number of families who received help:
November 22: 27 families in Buntun, Tuguegarao City.
November 23: 40 families in Linao, Tuguegarao City.
December 2: 20 farmers trained in Tungel, Baggao.
December 3: 70 families in Tungel, Baggao.
December 4: 50 families in Sitio Agnaoan
Again, we are grateful to all the people who actively participated and offered their time and resources to keep this movement going. Together, let us continue to provide a beacon of hope to families in crisis.
