The Chicken Livelihood Project
Can you imagine the impact one chicken could have in the life of one family?
GAiN Philippines, together with UNTO, a ministry of GAiN International has launched a livelihood project for families across Southern Philippines, such as Zamboanga, Davao, Marawii, and beyond.
At a training on the first week of May, they covered all the know-how needed:
- Chicken-raising techniques
- Breeding practices
- Feed management
- Disease prevention
- and more
The goal was to teach the families how to run this as a sustainable source of income.
What happens next?
All the families who received the the training will receive chicks to breed and raise, launching their own income-generating livelihood projects.
Here's how you can help:
Sustainable livelihood programs like this need money for the chicks, the training, the feeds, the housing, the materials, and moreāall to help families start their own chicken raising and turn it into sustainable income.
