Rod and Malou did a follow-up visit at GAiN PH’s community center at Pawa, Manito, Albay that houses children’s ministry, community spiritual formation, and food processing for cassava chips and purple yam.

GAiN PH assists five families in our center under our livelihood program. This project, which was started in March 2023, is in partnership with Nerissa and Ramon Daen of Region V.

The construction of the center was funded by one of our partners, Global Church Movement (GCM), and our local partner added some improvements. It was a pleasant sight to see the smiles of the community gathered together in our center. We desire that more transformation centers like this can also be established in other parts of the country.

This is one of the on-going livelihood projects of GAiN PH in Region V. We intentionally look for locally resourced raw materials to cut cost and maximize what is available.

And while still in Manito, Albay, Rod and Malou also visited GAiN’s scholars during one of their scholars’ huddle where Rod gave a short inspirational talk. Related article, read here.

Another on the things-to-do list of Rod and Malou was to attend the 30th Cru Bicol Anniversary Gathering where they invited the GAiN scholars and livelihood beneficiaries to join the celebration. Cru is one of GAiN PH partners.
