GAiN PH joined a caravan last December 7, 2023, held at Quezon City Hall.
Area-Based Standard Network Central Cluster – Quezon City (ABSNET-QC) organized a caravan that accommodates registered, licensed and accredited Social Welfare and Development Agencies (SWADA) in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR).
The Advocacy Caravan was intended to showcase the wide range of products crafted with love and dedication by the beneficiaries of the multiple SWADA Central Cluster members.
As a member, GAiN PH took the opportunity to share and spread awareness of our purpose and cause. We sold woven items coming from Zamboanga where we held a Values Formation Project last month. Read about the project here.
GAiN PH supports local products and young entrepreneurs. We partnered and were joined by the jolly and hardworking young entrepreneurs who sell coffee for their additional allowances/income at our booth. The coffee they sell are personally brewed and locally sourced.
It was a hot and humid day but a good day nonetheless, to share GAiN’s cause including its five programs. And thanks to our young entrepreneur partners for helping share about GAiN to others.
The coffee needed to be replenished to sell more in the afternoon, and our woven items from Zamboanga were sold-out by the end of the day. We were able to raise some funds, helped our young entrepreneur beneficiary and see and hear the cause of other SWADA members.
It was an enriching day, learning and seeing tangible kindness across the caravan from the SWADA members to the buyers who intentionally bought to help raise funds. Truly every small act of kindness matters, and you too can be part to help reveal hope and relieve suffering.
Through your giving we will be able to do more and help restore lives through relief and development initiatives among the poor in our country. Will you extend a pledge of help? Click here to give.
Yours for a brighter tomorrow,
GAiN Philippines
